Schedule from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day but yes, you have to wait especially on weekends
No but this place is well worth the wait
I've posted pictures of the English menu in my Google review. You should be able to scroll through and find them.
Non
They do mot take reservations..go early before 8.30 am
Great food. And I mean Great!!! We had a party of 4, everyone was super happy with food. Great service too! There was a wait to get seated. Definitely worth the wait. The prices are very reasonable.
Top notch place for lunch. Very trendy interior. Just looking at the food over there increases appetite by 100x. Food is fantastic. There is usually a wait to get in (no waiting area inside though). This can be a bit inconvenient during winter. But the wait is totally worth it.
Amazing Breakfast and friendly staff. They have a great variety of different types of breakfast. All of them are served with some fruits. They taste amazing and the price is good. The staff makes sure that you feel welcome and comfortable. I can highly recommend this place
I was really excited about this place but unfortunately it was a huge deception.. Staff is really nice but the food is tasteless. I got the nutella strawberry pancake and it was very ordinary. I’ll probably not go back
The best brunch in Montreal hands down. There are food choices for everybody, big portions, courteous waiter and DELICIOUS food. The wait to get seated was outrageously long. We were told 20 minutes, took about 40-50. All due to the fact that we were 2 people and the hostess prioritized seating bigger groups first (understandable - bigger profit from a table of 4). Moral - come early or come as a big group!!
Service was a little slow.. My friend ordered a tea and it was served 20 mn later.. Thankfully the food is great. The portions are wayy to big in my opinion but they give you a doggy bag if need be. Will come back.
Probably the best breakfast/brunch place near downtown Montreal!! However the wait time was ridiculous the place is a little tight on the inside, but I think if they know they have high demand they should dedicate heaters outside for the people waiting. We waiting for 40 minutes it was -17 we froze we thought about leaving 10 times but it was a very bad experience waiting in the cold.On the other hand the food was AMAZING, designs and graffiti were beautiful on the inside. For pricing you would approximately pay $60 per two, most plates are around $20. The tables were very tight we barley fit two plates.Toilets were very very nice Parking might be difficult while busy times
Eggs Benedict heaven. Interior is great. Music is lively. Staff is on the ball amazing. Restroom is worth a look even if only to wash up. Drinks are great. Ham is delicious, eggs perfectly cooked. Fruit infused watermelon water very refreshing. The one thing you must have though is the home fries - they are truly great.
Top Notch! 5/5 in every way, service, ambience, food (taste and portion size), decor. If you're looking for great brunch options and a stellar experience, I'd recommend this place, hands down. Even if you're just in Montreal for a couple of days, as was the case for us, make it a point to try this place out!
Super polite, welcome and respectful staff. Nice and tidy environment, nice dishes design. Tasty and zesty food.
I have been going to l'Avenue for many years. The staff is always smiling and ready to make your experience a pleasant one. Today was no exception to the rule. You definitely need to visit this place to feel what I am talking about.
There's a line and it could take a while but it is totally worth it! Every single dish is amazing and worth the price. Keep in mind that it is a big plate and maybe worth sharing between two people so you can have room for desert!
I came here right before they closed by accident but the waitress was gracious and allowed us to still order. We did take out as we didn’t want to hold them up even further. The food was ready quickly and it was very good. Everything was portioned well and was filling. Ingredients tasted fresh and not old or stale. Would definitely come back.
Best restaurant in Montreal. Best food. Best service.I dropped my key in drain front of the restaurant and manager helped me to call the city. She was the best. Thanks a lot. Hope to see you again
Huge breakfast menu at this popular restaurant which I visited for Sunday breakfast "the day after." Hot freshly brewed coffee and huge servings. I had creton ( a local pate-like pork spread) for the first time and loved it. Be prepared for a long wait but the wait is worth it. Once seated, service is fast and the servers are efficient and pleasant. From bacon and eggs (any style) to sausage, fruit, juices, breakfast potatoes piled high you will enjoy it. Guaranteed.
I ordered "I'll have it all" and it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Definitely going back next time I am in Montreal.
Montreal has some of the best brunch places I’ve been to and this place was one of them! As soon as you enter you’ll notice the vibe here is upbeat and it’s packed with people as you watch and smell the amazing food dancing around from kitchen to table. That is when you know this is going to be good! The service here is very attentive even though it’s so busy. We ordered their French Toast and Eggs Benedict. Both portions were really good and extremely delicious! The order took a little while to arrive, but we didn’t mind it because it was crowded and they were making everything fresh! If you’re looking to elevate your mood to the next level, this place is a must try!
My go-to brunch place whenever I'm back home in Montreal. They have some really creative dishes like the mac and cheese pancakes. The vibe is great, potatoes are even better. Watermelon infused water is also a nice touch :)
I am so jealous of brunch places in Montreal. No line up if you come early but the place will get packed really quickly. Without saying, as you can tell from the other reviews, the food is absolutely worth it
We came to Montreal for a restaurant week and went to this place on our way back to Boston. This place is absolutely astonishing. Food is the best I've tried so far. Waitress was very nice and gave us good recommendations. I can't be more happy. Wish best of luck to this place, will definitely be back for more.
This place rocked my world. I got the the salmon avocado toast and holy moly it really hit the spot. I would come back here for sure. Great little Montreal vibe ya dig what I’m saying. Very nice artwork in here.
Good ambiance, people are nice et the food without being that much original is very good and tasty! I loved it. You must go there!
This place is insanely awesome! First of all though, I want to warn you there will be a LONG line to get in. We waited 2 hours for a table for four people. However, is it DEFINITELY worth it! The ambience is super cool and the food is beyond amazing. We were all absolutely blown away. So first of all, definitely try the Oreo milkshake, which is very shareable. Their french toast meals are giant but delicious. I got the Californian Benedict and the flavors were fresh, bold, and worked together amazingly well. No one was unhappy with their selection.
Food is super good, had to wait a bit to get in. Great service too :)
Great service, imaginative menu items. All combinations are delicious. Sweet and savoury combinations are ingenious. Their Indecisive items allows you to customize even with specialty French toast and pancakes! Will definitely return when I am in Montreal!
AMAZING!!! From walking in, eating, and leaving, the whole experience was WONDERFUL!!! Our server was great and super friendly while all of the food was delicious and worth what we paid for! Will go again and highly recommend for breakfast!!!
Heads up! Long line up's for brunch sometimes but totally worth it. Every bite is amazing. Favourite brunch place IN THA WORLD. Eggs benneys are bomb. Pancakes are bomb. French toast is bomb.
I had to wait 45 minutes in -10°C weather for a seat. It was so worth it.Staff are super attentive and friendly, the orange juice is fresh and tasty, the hot chocolate warming. The decor and general hustle and bustle lend to brilliant atmosphere. I went for the steak and egg Benedict which was sublime. Hot and tasty, the egg were cooked perfectly and the potatoes a great addition. I threw in a Nutella french toast which made tipped me over the edge into full blow food coma. All for a super reasonable price. If you're in Montréal, you need to go here!
The food is sumptuous and savoury, the ambience is very hectic and crowded. The line to get in can be very long. Not unusual to wait 30-45 minutes for a table. They don't take reservations or offer you to put your phone number down
Let me tell you why I love this little breakfast/brunch restaurant so much. It's not the amazing quality of the food, you can tell the cooks and chef love and know what they're doing. It's not the trendy look with an amazing bathroom that makes you want to stay there and watch polar bears slide down on snow. Despite having to participate in a line up that can be a bit tedious yet moves fairly quickly. No, no ,no. The reason I love this place is because the staff are so welcoming and friendly even though working in a restaurants that so full as this one is high stress and requires people who are able to perform under such environment. So thank you for a great service and costumer experience. You wont regret your visit here.
Best breakfast restaurant I've ever been. Even if the portion sizes may be a little big, the meal is worth every bite. I liked the street art interior design and illustrations. It's quite unique, colorful and eye-catching. Being an art person myself, I really loved that side of this place. I will definitely return for another great meal!!
Came here on a weekday morning at 8:30am and there was no line. Was given the menu in English. I got the sweet savory crunchy which the waitress recommended, however I was not in love with my dish. The taste was interesting, but it wasn't like the best dish I ever had. The potatoes were really tasty though. The bathroom and decor were cool..reminds me of The Eatery in Vancouver.
awesome breakfast place and always worth the 30+ min wait. portions are huge and the design around the restaurant is beautiful. can't go wrong with the "i'll have it all", nutella coffee or almost anything else on the menu
Amazing food! We had The indesisive meal. Mix of eggs, potato's, choice of savory(meat, beans, cheese) and choice of sweet(french toast, pancakes) It was amazing! The potato's were so flavorful. The pecan french toast was unreal. Fruit was great. Everything was amazing. 11/10. Definitely recommend going there
Dry scrambled egg, tasteless potatoes. Its definitely good with some maple syrup though. But not for this price I expected it to be better than a simple breakfast I make at home.Antioxydant smoothie was nice too but man the price.Service excellent, no complain here.
Went on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. Still a bit of a wait (40 min for a group of 6). The service was excellent and friendly. The food portions were generous and tasty. Definitely good quality food. Each dish is $17-$20 and you will leave full.
The food it’s very very good! I order the carrot cake pancakes and it was delicious. Just keep in mind that the portions are big. When I order I ordered more than what I could eat. Still amazing though
L'Avenue is a very nice brunch destination - Well made and generous portions, decent pricing, good ambiance, design and service. However, L'Avenue is victim of it's own success, being around for more than 20 years and probably recommended in every Montreal travel guides. L'Avenue is suitable for a younger crowd and is always packed. Is it a good resto : yes. Is it worth waiting in line 30 minutes surrounded by tourists : no.
My friend and I's first time to eat here and we had no idea what to order. The menu is so overwhelming. Lot to choose from. I decided to take a Californian Egg Benedict and I didn't regret a bit. It was delicious. It has avocados and smoked salmon which I am so happy about. The side salad was good as well that finished it as well.
The wait outside in the chilling winter is not worth it. The food is good, and pretty standard in comparison to other brunch places. Decor is very loud and mismatched, not 100% sure where its headed and what's the message the decor is trying to convey.
I come here to impress my Montreal visitors or for a special occasion! I avoid the weekends though and I find 10am to be a good time or just before they close around 1.30-2? Staff is incredibly attentive. Plates are huuuge. But I think the menu changed a little so there are less veggie options.i like the avocado toast with the mountain salad . I think it’s overpriced for what it is but it’s a good vibe and you pay for that ! Everyone loves taking selfies in the toilets which look like you entered a night club!Fun ! I love the water that’s always or a watermelon or whatever fruit they put in the tank!
This place is fantastic!! The staff are the most friendly and professional in Montreal! There is so much going on in this place with the art and design and of the restaurant you could be in there by yourself and be perfectly happy. The food and drinks were delightful, well priced, and served at a good pace. Thank you to everyone working I had a great time!!
Honestly, maybe the best brunch i have ever had in a long time. Really good food and PORTIONS! Was shocked, really worth the price!
Good. A fine example of a specific kind of restaurant. It can be delicious dishes with excellent staff service. The vibe is pleasant. You may think about coming again if you wish to taste a particular kind of chocolate dishes.
They had GREAT food. Come here for breakfast/ brunch. I'd come here any day if I could!
Best breakfast ever. I never missed visiting this restaurant whenever I go to Montreal. I appreciate the great variety on their menu. The sevice is courteous and the waitress are super friendly, happy to assist if don't speak french.
Great place for brunch with great patios and amazing food. I ordered Bobby Does Dallas and it was superb! The egg was beautifully cooked with mixture of cheese in it, the steak was tender and the BBQ sauce was an absolute gold. We ordered extra cretons (I'm not from Quebec and was told this is a Quebec thing, so I had to try it) and it was delicious. It has a hearty warmth smell of nutmeg, just reminds me of home! This brunch place is definitely worth to try. Come bit early as it gets full pretty quickly (local loves this place!)
Food: First off, the portions are huge! I had the indecisive and chose the Nutella french toast and had the sausage and beer braised beef(I believe that's what it was called). Everything was delicious! The French toast was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The potatoes were crispy and had tons of flavour, not your average potato! The sausages were nice and the beef was really good. It was my first time having this kind of beef and was pleasantly surprised! We shared the detox smoothie and it tasted so refreshing! It's also huge! Service: Our server was really nice and attentive! Checked in when we got our food and kept glancing at us making sure we were okay! Would recommend to everyone!
Cool atmosphere with very friendly service. If your going for brunch, table for two wait is much shorter than four or larger. Food is everything it's made out to be. Large portions of very delicious breakfast.
One of the best spots to visit in Montreal for breakfast. The service is outstanding. The food is delicious. The interior of the restaurant is very hip and designed with taste:).
